I keep hitting repeat

In case anyone was wondering what I've been up to this summer, here's a quick run down:

GRE.
Work.
Run.
GRE.
Sleep.

Shower.
Rinse.
Repeat.

I've also been revamping some of my writing and getting it ready to send off. It's funny looking back a a piece I wrote not even a year ago and discovering a completely different person. Maybe that's why I'm finding myself wanting to change some of the basic concepts in my work, but keep the words the same.

To find inspiration for all this rewriting, I frequent the website Thought Catalog. Some pieces of writing can instantly act as a chameleon for my mood, and this site can blend in even in the craziest days. Since inspiration has been rather low lately (or rather, since November), I find myself struggling to put words together in the way I used to write. Whether it be a vivid scene popping into my head or a line that begins/ends my poem, it's just not coming to me the way it did last fall.

So as I'm struggling for inspiration, this will be my outlet. This blog has already morphed into what I never thought it would be when I started writing in the beginning. Unfortunately, my writing is not being published in the same medium but I'm working toward a different one. Like my bio says, take the journey with me. I vow to somehow keep writing for the sake of writing - and my sanity.
